While the sun is still out (in June?) it’s only fitted that we make the most of these twenty-something degree days. And with Perth boasting some of the best walking trails and indoor activities around, it’s about time to put that activewear to good use.
Kings Park is the perfect place to grab some fresh air and take a leisurely stroll. Whether you’re meeting a friend for a gossip sesh or just need to take a break from reality, take a walk through the botanic gardens and admire Perth’s natural beauty. And if you’re feeling like you need to get that heart rate up, the infamous Jacob’s Ladder has over 200 stairs, so you can skip leg day at the gym.
Scarborough To Trigg
Grab your pooch and head down to Scarborough Beach to soak up that winter sun. A walk along our pretty coastline from Scarborough to Trigg will have you in for a solid 7KM stroll, but the best part is your post-exercise walk treat. After burning off what may seem like a thousand calories, head over to Yelo for a coffee and watch the day pass you by.
You’ll be in for some pretty sweet outdoor time with this little trail. Starting and finishing at the top Reabold Hill, you’ll walk a neat 5KM that will have you taking in the coastal views and city skyline all at the same time. If you’re up for the challenge, add an extra 3KM to your walk and head over to Odyssea for a brunch that’s totally #worthit.
Let your inner child bounce off the walls until your heart is content at Perth’s biggest indoor trampoline park. General admission sessions are done by the hour, but the real fun goes down on a Friday night. And if you’re after something that will make you sweat, the Bounce Fit sessions are the ultimate high intensity, low impact workout.
Whoever said mini golf doesn’t count as a sport was so wrong. While it may not have you covered in sweat, this little mini golf circuit will definitely get your heart racing. Grab a few friends and hit the golf course for some action-packed fun. Just try not to throw your golf clubs in frustration. After you’ve nailed all 18 holes, hit up Lizzy Quay for a scoop of Perth’s favourite gelato, Gusto.
