George Street Quarters

If you’re looking for a new brunch spot on a rainy Saturday morning, then this place is definitely worth checking out.

Sitting pretty on one of Freo’s hidden streets, George Street Quarters serves up a mean brunch menu all damn day. So if you want dukkah crusted avo on toast at 12PM, you’ll get it here. Not only is the menu all day, it’s got something for everyone. Their buttermilk pancakes with dragonfruit ice cream can go a long way on a cold winter morning. And if you’re looking for a souvenir to take home, their Acai Bowl is served up in what was once a young coconut that you can opt to take home along with a matching wooden spoon.

If you’re after something savoury and manage to pass up on the Croque Monsieur with three cheeses and ham, the super green omelette with pine nuts and feta is a good compromise.

The team here also do a nice warm Tumeric Latte, but if curry in a cup isn’t your thing, their smoothies are spot on.

After you’ve filled your tummy, check out the store attached to this neat cafe. It’s got loads of take away food (if you were too impatient to wait for a table or are somehow still hungry?), as well as the usual goodies like Kommunity Brew Kombucha, a range of Granola’s and even Paella kits (dinner = sorted!).
