Where To Find Perth’s Best Hot Chocolate

With the nights in Perth getting colder, it’s about time we get our hands around a seriously good cup of ho-cho. The only thing you’ll need to do is find someone to bring it straight to your door.

Koko Black

Imagine a place where everything is about chocolate. I’m talking truffles, tarts, ice-cream, mousse and even a chocolate degustation. Well luckily for you, that place exists (and in more than one location). Koko Black is every chocolate lovers dream come true. Their signature hot chocolate is freshly brewed to a traditional Belgian recipe, so it’s basically like drinking pure chocolate. For those that can only handle chocolate in small doses, opt for the light hot chocolate.

This little café is a local favourite in Leederville. Pumping out the big brekkies from early in the morning and good coffee all day, you can expect nothing but the best at Foam. So when it comes to getting your hot beverage fix, it’s safe to say they’ve got all bases covered. If you’re not game enough to test out their chili hot chocolate, their Snickers hot chocolate is like a drink and dessert all in one. But for something super sweet, the white hot chocolate is the perfect nightcap.

Flo Espresso

This hole in the wall café situated in the heart of Northbridge is notorious for its kimchi and cheese toasties. But they’ve also got one of the hottest hot chocolates around. Their signature Belgian Hot Chocolate is something out of this world. It’s smooth and creamy texture will warm even the coldest of souls. And if you need more to sweeten the deal, Top Dup donuts are regularly supplied here, so you can get your daily sugar fix.

Recently opening its doors on St George’s Terrace, Guylian is bringing their Belgian chocolate seahorses to the people of Perth, and boy are we happy to accommodate them. With a menu featuring chocolate desserts aplenty, as well as their famous sweet Belgian waffles, you’ll feel like you’ve died and gone to chocolate heaven. But the real MVP here is their extensive list of hot chocolates. Whether you’re after the classic Guylian Hot Chocolate or something a little more minty, you’re guaranteed to get your ho-cho fix here.

Who doesn’t love unlimited Hello Panda’s on the side of their ho-cho?? These guys do a wicked Bounty hot chocolate for those that like that a little coconut through their liquid gold. But if you’re after something more basic, they offer up a neat Lindt hot choccy.

Beaufort Local

The folk at Beaufort Local are putting you in charge of your hot chocolate. Choose from milk, dark or white and watch the chocolate melt away as you pour your steaming hot milk over it.
